The P.A.L. Program Officially Launches!

A box labeled "To the Care of: My Friend" surrounded by colorful envelopes, patterned cards, and small fabric pouches on a floral cloth.

We’re unboxing the magic! Discover how our brand-new caregiver connection kit—packed with handmade letters, sensory-rich activities, and joy-sparking prompts—is changing the way families and care teams connect.

Whether you’re a family caregiver, activity director, or adult foster home provider, the

P.A.L. Box is your new favorite tool for creating meaningful, low-pressure moments of engagement.

🧠 Why It Matters

Caregivers often ask:

  • “How do I get them to engage with me again?”

  • “What do I do when I run out of ideas?”

  • “How can I connect with them without stressing them out?”

The P.A.L. (People Always Listening) Program was created to answer those questions—with compassion, creativity, and evidence-based tools.

Every box includes:

  • Ten handwritten letters that cue positive memories

  • Tactile and sensory items to encourage grounding and exploration

  • Simple activity prompts for storytelling, routine building, or calm moments

It’s connection—in an envelope.

Meet the Creators

The P.A.L. Program is the result of months of heart-centered collaboration between:

  • Jesse Azzopardi, C.D.S., a Certified Dementia Specialist with over 20 years of experience in dementia and hospice care. She’s known for developing activities that think outside the box and meet people where they are.

  • Lindsey Bretzman, ADC, CDP, an award-winning Activity Director and Certified Dementia Practitioner who’s been honored by both the Oregon Health Care Association and LeadingAge Oregon.

  • Jesse Soderstrom brings over 30 years of experience in music and creative writing, combining rhythm, story, and empathy to enrich MME’s work. As Assistant and Creative Collaborator, he supports vendor fairs, program logistics, and the creative development of Project Parcel P.A.L., helping bring the team’s ideas to life.

This project started with Jesse Azzopardi’s vision, but it grew into something much bigger: a shared mission to give caregivers and their loved ones something they could use again and again to build deeper connections.

💡 Caregiver Reflection

  • Do you find it hard to connect some days?

  • Would having a ready-made activity help take the pressure off?

  • What’s one way you could use a letter today—to spark a story, soothe a mood, or share a memory?

This is more than an activity. It’s a bridge.

💬 Words to Carry

These letters are written by hand. The envelopes are handmade. The prompts are gentle, the language kind.

Because you deserve a tool that meets the moment—and brings your person into it with you.
