Growing Together: Mobile Memory Enrichment's Mid-Year Update
At Mobile Memory Enrichment (MME), every meaningful conversation, shared smile, and moment of connection reminds us why we do this work.
Our mission has always been simple: to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia while strengthening the entire care ecosystem around them. That means supporting not only the individual, but also family caregivers, Adult Foster Home teams, and the communities that care for them.
As we reach the middle of 2026, we're excited to share several milestones that reflect the growing need for person-centered, in-home dementia care throughout Washington County and surrounding communities.
More Families Receiving In-Home Dementia Care
Demand for personalized dementia support continues to grow, and we're grateful for the trust families and care providers place in us.
So far this year, Mobile Memory Enrichment has:
Completed 265 meaningful engagement sessions
Maintained a 94% client retention rate
Expanded services to 11 families receiving in-home dementia support
Partnered with 4 Adult Foster Homes, providing ongoing enrichment visits
Each visit is built around the person's interests, abilities, life story, and preferences because meaningful engagement is never one-size-fits-all.
Whether we're sharing music, conversation, creative activities, sensory experiences, or simply spending time together, our goal is always to preserve dignity while creating moments that matter.
Welcoming Two New Activity Coaches
As our community continues to grow, we're excited to welcome two new Activity Coaches to the MME family.
Every Activity Coach receives training in:
Person-centered dementia care
Meaningful engagement techniques
Relationship-based communication
Individualized activity adaptation
Supporting both caregivers and care teams
Growing our team means we can serve more families while maintaining the consistency and personal relationships that define Mobile Memory Enrichment.
Introducing Caregiver Collective
One of our most exciting developments this year has been launching Caregiver Collective, MME's caregiver support group.
Caregiver Collective was created to give family caregivers a welcoming place to:
Learn practical caregiving strategies
Connect with others who understand the journey
Discover community resources
Share experiences in a supportive environment
Find encouragement without judgment
Caring for someone living with dementia can feel isolating. We hope that no caregiver feels they have to navigate that journey alone.
We're Looking for Guest Presenters
We're currently seeking professionals who would like to share their expertise with local caregivers.
Topics might include:
Elder law
Financial planning
Occupational therapy
Physical therapy
Nutrition
Home safety
Grief support
Community resources
Dementia education
Caregiver wellness
If you're interested in presenting at an upcoming Caregiver Collective meeting, we'd love to connect with you.
Helping Improve Dementia Services Across Oregon
We're honored to have been invited to participate in an Oregon Department of Human Services workgroup focused on improving dementia services and supports across the state.
This opportunity allows us to bring real experiences from families, caregivers, and community providers into conversations that help shape future dementia resources in Oregon.
We Want to Hear From You
If you've experienced challenges—or successes—while navigating dementia care, community resources, or caregiver support, we'd love to hear your story.
Your feedback helps us advocate for meaningful improvements that benefit families throughout Oregon.
Please email us at mobilememoryenrichment@gmail.com with your thoughts, ideas, or experiences. Every voice matters.
Sharing MME at OSRAA
Earlier this year, we had the privilege of presenting at the Oregon Senior Referral Agency Association (OSRAA), introducing professionals from across the region to Mobile Memory Enrichment's approach to person-centered dementia care.
It was encouraging to connect with others who share our commitment to improving the quality of life for older adults and supporting families through meaningful engagement.
Collaboration strengthens the entire care ecosystem, and we're grateful for every opportunity to learn alongside other professionals serving our community.
Looking Ahead
As Mobile Memory Enrichment continues to grow, our focus remains unchanged.
We believe every person living with dementia deserves:
Meaningful connection
Opportunities for joy
Respect and dignity
Individualized engagement
A care team that truly sees the person beyond the diagnosis
We're excited for what's ahead and deeply thankful for every family, caregiver, Adult Foster Home owner, healthcare professional, and community partner who has trusted us to be part of their journey.
Together, we're building stronger support systems, healthier caregivers, and richer lives for people living with dementia throughout Washington County and beyond.
If you'd like to learn more about our services, participate in Caregiver Collective, become a guest presenter, or share your thoughts about dementia services in Oregon, we'd love to hear from you.
You don't have to do this alone. Mobile Memory Enrichment is here to help.
